Michelle and Joann opened their centers with the following core belief:

We believe that every child, regardless of their socioeconomic status, deserves a safe, nurturing, educationally enriching environment.  Teach & Learn Day School works with all state funded programs, and provides scholarships to many low income families. Michelle and Joann know that child care can be expensive, and they do their very best to be flexible in keeping the tuition and expenses low.  They are also very involved in both communities that the centers are located. Teach & Learn Day School participates in local book drives, collect clothes and shoes for the local Salvation Army, and sponsors local softball/baseball organizations.

In May of 2010, Michelle and Joann decided to go into business together opening their first child care facility in Downingtown Borough. They opened their doors on May 17, 2010 with four children enrolled.  With very hard work, and their tireless efforts they were able to fill the center by the end of their first year.  In October 2011 they decided to open their second child care facility in Phoenixville.  Their Phoenixville facility can accommodate 64 children and is our largest center. Both of our centers are licensed by the PA Department of Human Services and the Chester County Health Department. All of our employees have background clearances in Child Abuse, PA Criminal and FBI. In addition, 90% of our employees are certified in Pediatric First Aid and CPR.
